A look back, Mango in 2022

How should I start. 2022 the year wich ended in November for Mango. Not unexpectedly, but still sooner then we expected. We had to say goodbye to him....

I'll take you one more time to the adventures of us and Mango this year. Lots of walking, going with us to agility competitions to support his friends and a wonderfull holiday in Denmark. Memories that made this year extra special. Unfortunately this will be Mango's last annual review, his journey with us has ended after almost 15 years of friendship. Enjoy one more time with a smile and tears with Mango's latest adventures with us and his friends.

Mango is getting old now. The most of the time I walk alone with him. Not more with him and all the beagles together.

We made a lot of walks together, every week we had a lot of fun.

Every week Alinda is going to swim with Mango, somtimes I go when Alinda must work.

Every week 30 minutes swimming, he likes it the most of the time

In the field a week later, the yellow flowers are gone.

Especialy for the holiday in Denmark we get a new car for Mango. So he can sit in it when we make  long walks and he will by tired.

Mango became a little bit ill. Doesn't want to eat en was not happy. Elwood en Dylan are by his side.

But after a couple of day's he was better again. The new fence for  the holiday has arrived. Mango and Elwood are checking it out.

We go to Erik and Irene for a BBQ. Erik and Mango are also big friends.

We made special memories in Denmark. A holiday off 2 weeks with all the dogs.

August

After the holiday in Denmark we get a lot of visits at home. Beagle Fred stayed for 2 weeks with us and Nicole and the boys stayed also some days with us. So time to make photo's from the group

And after the weeks with visits, It was also good tho have alone time with our  boys .

We go the the agility competition in Arnhem. The dogs go all with us. Mango looks at how his friend Elwood gets to win his last point to start now in the next level of the competition.

There is a heatwave coming. Mango was not happy with the hot weather. Elwood was near him always

But after a couple of day's it  was better weather for Mango and we start walking short trips again.

We made walks together. Enjoy on his own way, not quick but with a lot of fun. But in all we see that he was going backwards quick now.

September

Mango sleeps a lot.

Mango is  getting  quick old now, his walking rounds become shorter and shorter.

And after some days we going to walk together again.

From this moment we see his head chance, the smile is gone, he looks more sad

October

Again a bad day, but he quickley feels  a little bit better. You can see how he is sitting, this is not the Mango we all know

Petra is coming to visit Mango. She takes her youngest beagle with her. Lucy. Mango meet again a new Muskoka Dream's puppy.

We get the sad news of the dead of one of Mango his great grand daugthers, Elsa was only 4 years.

In all we see that Mango his ending is coming. Eating, sleeping, sight, walking, all is going back wards. We made his life so comfortable as we can . When I walk with him I dont see his happy face anymore.

November

We are worry about Mango, It's not going good with him..With walking he was falling down time after time , we must put him up every time he was falling, but after some day's he feel better and stay more stabile on his feets.

We put a kennel in the room, here  Mango can sleep now. In the night  he is walking and when he fell, he can not stand up by himself.

I go to an agility game. Mango is going with me. It was his last time that he support his beaglefriends

And then  on 18 November we must say good bye to our great friend. His last night was a night with no sleep, barking a lot. I stay with him the hole night. On Friday I took him with me to the forrest were I work. It became  his last time there

10 years ago.... Elwood was one day in our pack. He was friends with Mango from day 1. This is one of the first photo's I made from them together

And one from one of there last moments together ......10 years later

I sit down near Mango and cudlle him. He barks, in all I can hear him saying. Boss.. it's oke. My life with you all was fantastic, but now it's time to let me go.......

We go out for a last short walk. Elwood is also going with us.Our last walk.. We take our time, I cry, but I know it's oke......

Thank you my friend... thanks for 15 years of friendship......

We walk home, a stop by the neighours, they all say goodbye to Mango......

At 16:30 Mango died peace full in my hands with all his friends around him.............. The living legend became a Legend.......

The boys are sitting around the body of Mango. The say farewell to there great friend.

One by one they take a moment  with Mango, so special to see.

On Saterday we start our last trip. We bring Mango to the crematuin centre

His journey with us came to an and. Rest in peace Legend. Thanks for everything .

A special journey came to an end. A journey that took us all over Europe. A journey that would, in firts intstance, only take  half a year, it turned out to be almost 15. A journey that turned a small Swedish  fruit into a Legend. A journey we will never experience again. A journey of friendship, succes and loyalty. A journey....... Mango thanks for letting us be your proud owners. Rest in peace big friend, we will never forget you.....

A special thank to Hans and Monica in Sweden and Pam en Paul in Wales . Thank you for trusting us to entrust us with the care of Mango.

This is how 2022 ended for Mango in November. We are sad, very sad. But we are grateful that we were allowed to be his owners for almost 15 years. Our journey together has ended, but deep in our hearts, Mango will travel with us for the rest of our lives. The memories of him are written in our hearts.........

3 weeks after the death of Mango we received the sad news of the passing of his son Rocket... Rocket became 13 years and 7 months... Rest in peace Rocket, Run free with Mango behind the rainbow bridge........

 And that is how this blog comes to an end. For almost 15 years I have made you part of our life together with Mango. His adventures, his successes, his love for us, our love for him, our holidays together, our journey with a small Swedish  fruit until a legend has ended. There will be 1 more message and that will be Mango's  extensive in memoriam. We thank everyone who has always sympathized with us  and Mango on the sideline. Our life with the beagle pack continues.... without Mango... it will be different, it will never be the same again...... In our hearts Mango will always be part of our live, we will never forget him.....
