Winter is coming. Next week the temperature will go down hard here. There is even talk about - 13. I hope so. I love winter. Mango also like the cold.
This morning the weather was beautiful here. All dogs and enjoyed the boss too.

The weather is very bad here in Holland. A lot of rain and strong wind. The boy's don't like this weather. We make walks when it is dry and when it's rain they sleep our play in the house.

Last sunday we went to the beach in Castricum. There was a big beagle walk from the dutch beagle club. There are more then 80 dogs. We had a fantastic day and the dogs had a lot of fun.

A lovely day with Faith

Yesterday we had a fantastic day in Limburg. We traveled early in the morning to the south
of the Netherlands to meet Faith again. Faith is now living with her new owners and we have contacted them to see Faith back again. Petra and Leo, the first owners of Faith, are also coming. For us it was a 3 hours drive by car . Mango was going with us. At 10:30 we arrived in Bemelen. We park the car behind a big fence and opened up the doors. Mango was jumping out and Faith was coming to us.

There was a big garden were the dogs had alot of fun. Mango was running the hole time.

We are going to drink some coffee and talking a lot about the dogs. Then it was time to make a long walk through the fields around Bemelen. The nature was fantastic.
In the trees are hanging a lot mistletoe. When you are standing under it you may kiss. Sorry for me Alinda was always standing on an other place.

We had a graet time. Frans told us alot about the country.

After the break it was time to start walking again.

After 5 minutes it was over again. These are old mines in the Bemelenhill.

So we came to the end of a nice walk. We're going inside and drink something. Mango and Faith are going to sleep on the sofa.

When we are eating I took a look at the dogs. They are both in a deep sleep.

And so a fantastic day came to an end. At half past eight we are packing up to go back to Westerbork. We say goodbye and start driving for 3 hours. At half past eleven whe are safe back home. We have had a fantastic day, it feels like a little holiday.

Today after my work I was going into the fields with the dogs. Mango was having a lot of fun, and he was doing a lot of crazy things.

We are now in the last two days of 2011. The last week we had time to relax. After christmas we had a lovely time with the dogs at home, The most of the time they are sleeping because the weather was very bad. If you look to the way how Mango slept, its very funny to see.

We are now in the last part of the year 2011, so time to look back on a fantastic year for us and Mango. We have made a lot of walks, meet new friends. Mango was three times with us to the campsite, He became , German and French champion and for the third time World Winner. Now he is the most succesfull Hamilton Stovare all time in the show ring. a lot of people ask us for information about the Hamilton.

Januari

It's winter in Holland, Mango played a lot with his friend Justin in the snow.

Mango his sun Sputnik became best puppy in breed over the year 2010 in the UK.
Mango became best showdog on our dogtrainingschool.

I made long walks with Mango through the woods.

Februari

Time is going very quick, Mango is celebrating his third birthday

March

Mango his Dutch championship cross was arrived.

The Lord is back in the show ring. After a injury we had give him a lot of rest. The int, show in Groningen was Mango his first show after 4 months. He was back, 1 Excellent, BOB and Groningen Winner, the first title of the new year.

Alinda was going to the UK, to visit the crufts, I made lovely walks with Mango.

At the end of the month we travel to Luxembourg. Mango dit it great he won the Luxembourg Championship title and was selected by the last 6 dogs of FCI group 6.

April

I made an own agillity course for the dogs. Mango was their trainer.

I was renovating the garden. The dogs are helping me.

29 april was it three years ago that a little Swedisch boy landed on Schiphol airport in Amsterdam.

May

We travel to Dortmund for the show. Mango won the title Europa Sieger 2011.

With all the dogs we are going to the beagle walking weekend from the dutch beagleclub.We had a great weekend.

I made an own mini coursing for the dogs. Mango likes it.

June

There are some sunny days in june, Mango and his friends love it.

We put a tent in the garden with balls, Mango like to play between the balls.

We visit Petra, Leo and the beagles. On the field the dogs can play and run. and eeeeeeeehm swim.

July

We travel to France, to the World dogshow. Mango and Michael are with us. We stay on a campsite 20 minutes from Paris. The nature was there beatyfull.

On the worddogshow Mango did it great. Two times Best of Breed, French Champion and for the third time World Winner.

Back home, I made a lot of walks with Mango and his little friend Justin.

August

And then it was time to go to the UK, for the houndshow. We take all the dogs ,except old Jayson, with us. We had a great time in Wales.
Mango played a lot with his sun Meillion I Want It All, Aka Sputnik.

We spend our holiday in Holland. Two weeks on a campsite on the veluwe. Every day we make long walks with al the boys.

September.

The European dogshow is this year in Holland. Mango did it fantastic, Best Of Breed and European Dogshow Winner 2011.
After the show Mango became very ill. With some days he was healthy again

The weather is very nice. Mango and friends love to play and sleep in the garden

Mango and I made long walks in the evening and have a lot of fun together.

October.

We went to Dortmund again. Mango wins the Bundessieger 2011 title and is now also German champion

We visit friends of us in Zevenhuizen. The dogs are going with us and we made a nice walk. Mango meet a new friend, a little beagle puppy, Benji.

The winter begins, Mango likes it.

The last show of this year for Mango in Holland is the Winner show in Amsterdam. And again he did it great. Best Of Breed and Winner 2011.

December

Alinda give me for my birthday a photocourse with a profesional photoshoot for Mango. The photo's are fantastic

We travel to the UK for the LKA show. the last show of this year. A day before the show Mango and Michael are in a fight. Michael bit Mango in his feet, so the lord had a sore elbow and was limping, due to it,when he was in the ring.

We meet the granddaugthers of Mango.

A weekend in Birmingham

This weekend was the LKA show in Birmingham. We had Michael Mango entered. Domino, one of the beagles of Petra went with us.
On Thursday Mango and Michael had fought. Michael misses a piece of his canine and Mango had two holes in his leg. We left on Friday morning. Mango was stiff and we hoped that one day rest would do him good. We drive fast through to Calais. Check in and then wait for the train. An hour later we drive in England. We drive three hours to Birmingham. Here we stay with our friends.

On Saturday was the show. We are introduced to the granddaughters of Mango. The open and cheerful character of Mango is also in his childeren and grandchildren.

In the ring this time it is unfortunately not so good with Mango, he has problems with his injured leg and the judge can not judge him.

After the show, all dogs are very tired. They fall into a deep sleep.

On Sunday I will make some nice pictures and then we leave to Holland. This was the last showtrip of this year.

Today i was to a dogphotography course. Mango was with me. At the end of the day there was a profesional photoshoot for Mango. It was a nice day.
This afternoon he is very tired. He is sleeping in the chair in some very funny positions.

Winner 2011

Last weekend was the Winner Show in Amsterdam. We had Michael(our beagle) and Mango with us. Both dogs did it fantastic again. Mango was 1 excellent, Best of Breed and Winner 2011. Another title for Mango, No 23. There were many people on this show who asked for information about the breed Hamilton Stovare. Mango is a walking advertisement for the breed. Many people know him and fall for his open, honest, spontaneous character.
At the end of the day Alinda and Mango must go into the main ring for groupjudging. Unfortunately they are not placed in by the last three. For us it was another great day on the show floor. This year there is for us now only one show. That's the LKA in Birmingham. After the LKA show we can look back on a fantastic show year .

Mango on the FCI Champion Of Championsshow

The FCI is celebrating 100 years. During the past year on a number of shows you could earn a qualification for the special show, Champion of Champions. Mango has qualified two times for this show.

This weekend was the big day. We left Friday. The beagles were staying with their families in Wijdenes. Petra went with us to Brussels. For Friday night we had booked a hotel in Mechelen. Mango thought it was just fantastic, great attention for him all alone.

Saturday morning we leave, after a hearty breakfast, the hotel early. We arrive at about seven o'clock in Brussels. A total of 893 dogs and 230 breeds from 33 countries are on this show. In the FCI Group 6 are 74 dogs of 24 different breeds. There were three Hamiltons qualified for this show, two of them were present.

The dogs are going in the ring in groups of 8. There are two judges who judge each dog and give them points. If all dogs are judged there are 5dogs of group6 going to the next round.
Unfortunately Mango isn't one of the 5. participating this time was more important than winning. In the afternoon we drive back to Holland. We picked the beagles yup and went back home. A successful weekend came to an end.

Alinda is today to the international dog show in Bleiswijk,I stay at home with the dogs. I made a lovely walk with the boy's. I try to make some nice photo's of Mr Mango. I think he is very proud of his tongue.

Last sunday we had visit friends of us in Zevenhuizen. Together with Jan en Jenny van Dijk and there dogs did we drive to them on the early sunday morning. We had a lovely day with ten dogs. A little puppy with the name Benji was Mango his biggest friend. Mango was so sweet for that little boy. Benji is the son of Dylan his sister, Elfie. They play a lot in the garden and house and in the afternoon we made a long walk with all the dogs. It was a fantastic day.

Bundessieger 2011 and German Champion

Yesterday we went to the international dog show in Dortmund(Germany). Our beagle Michael and ofcourse Mango are with us. Both boy's need only one point for the German championship title, soo maybe after this show........

It was a early start of the day. We wake up at 4:45 and start to drive to dortmund at 5:30. Michael and Mango are sleeping in the back of the car. When we arrived in Dortmund we walk to the showring and are looking for a place. Michael and Mango lay lovely together in the bench.

At 10:45 it was time to show Mango. The judge was from Sweden, it was mr Stafberg. Mango was happy and he looks good. Here he is waiting by the ring to go in.

The judge liked Mango, he say to Alinda that she must come to Sweden to show Mango there.
1 Excellent, Best Of Breed and Bundessieger 2011.

With this winning Mango get also his last point for his German Championship. This is his 5th country championship in Europe. We are very proud of this fantastic boy.

At the end of the day alinda and Mango must go into the mainring for best of group 6. The Best Of Breeds from 18 different breeds from FCI group 6 are coming into the ring. The judge , ms Witkowska from Poland, make a selection. And again Mango was short listed in the group he was by the best 6

Mango did it great. He run as never before.

No the were not select for 1, 2, 3. We are proud that Mango was standing again by the best 6 of the group on a international dogshow.

It was a great day for us. Michael did it also fantastic he became 2 excellent , We must check his show reports but we think that , with this point, he now also is German Champion.
At half past five we leave Dortmund and drive back home. At half past eight we are back home after a fantastic ,but, long day.

The weather in holland is strange at this moment. A lot of rain and 5 minutes later sun. This morning I was first working in the garden. After this work I made walks with the dogs. After a lot of busy weeks we had now a relax weekend. The weather was nice so we and the dogs had yesterday a lovely relax day in the garden.

Today a fantastic day , Mango wins the title FCI CENTENARY EUROPEAN DOGSHOW WINNER 2011.And Best Of Breed, With this second CACIB on the special FCI shows he is now also FCI CENTENARY SHOW WINNER. We are very proud of this fantastic boy.

There was no time to make photo's in the ring so we must make them on an other place in the hall.

FCI Centenary European Dogshow Winner and Winster 2011 Mango and Andra. This is the 20th international title for Mango.

There was also an other boy from Scandinavia. A Finnisch Hound. Both the boys together on the photo.

You can see the differents between both breeds

Mango became tired but we must wait on the time that he must into the main ring. When I looked at Mango in the ring, I see a different Mango then I know. His mouth was open, thats was strange... Was he tired , was it too hot. I didn't know what was wrong.......

Alinda and mango were not selected in the group. So for us the show was over. Time to go home. When we walked to the car Mango was very tired. We drove back home and when we came home Mango was going to sleep in his basket. he slept the whole evening. When we went to bed Mango was not happy. We took him with us, upstairs. At 23:15 I took his temperature. 40.6 We were shocked. We've called the vet immediately and can come. Mango got an injection to reduce the fever. We go back home and have a restless night. The next morning the fever subsided somewhat. During the day the temperature drops further.

Now Mango is the old Mango again. The happy boy is back.

When I look back at the pictures of that day. I see that during the making of the photos for the flag, he already carries his tail different than normal. He probably didn't feel well at that time.

Today was a rest day for Jayson. So I made a walk with Mango, Justin and Dylan. Michael was playing with the childeren on the campsite. We made a walk from 1,5 hour. It was very hot.

Yesterday again a nice walking day.We made a walk from 2 hours. The weather was nice and the dogs and we had a great time. Mango and Justin walking a lot together they are the biggest friends in the world. At the end of the walk Mango was starting barking a lot, whats happend Mango ...... 50 meters bofore us was a rabbit crossing the road. Mango was crazy there was 1 thing what he try to do. Hunting the rabbit. When we came back on the campsite. The dogs are all tired and they are sleeping and dreaming

We are on the campsite now for two weeks. We will make a lot of walks with the dogs. Today we had made the first one. We and the boy's had a lovely day.

We are back from the World Dog Show 2011 in Paris. Left Thursday and came home on monday. And what we did was successful. Our Swedish boy has do it again. For the third consecutive time he became world champion. Michael also did well and was two times Excellent. Here is a detailed report of our four-day trip to France.

Day 1,

For some time there was a red circle on the calendar around 10 and July 11, The World dogshow in Paris. We had Michael and Mango registered. We want to try to win Mango's third World Winner title . Thursday morning we took Dylan, Justin and Jayson to address their nanny charged. Last things packed and we started our French adventure. We had booked a campsite at 45 minutes away from Paris. According to our TomTom it was a journey of nearly six hours to wait. We drive very fast, and after two hours we are near Breda, and we're still just across the border into Belgium. The weather is good and we enjoy the ride. Mango and Michael are fast asleep in the back of the car. Some where in Belgium, we take a break, stretch your legs and the dogs can also get out. We are making good progress. After the stop we drive again. .Bij crossing the border of France, the TomTom say that we have two hours ahead of us. It is busier on the road and we see many Dutch license plates. We arrive at a number of toll roads, ranging from 0.80 cents to 15 euros but we are constantly driving. We leave the highway and follow the signs to Saint Leu d'Esserent. Here was are our campsite. Signs indicate the right path and we are in an oasis of tranquility. The site is in an old quarry surrounded by nature. Check in and we were allowed to pick a place on the site. The tent stand quickly and after a few cups of coffee I go to walk around the campsite. Alinda remains with the tent, and plunges into her book.

The tent is, we had placed a tarp for the tent. Both for us and the dogs gave it a nice spot with shade.

The bottom of the old quarry was far lime. This is perfect for the helleborine. We stood with our tent also amidst the orchids. Unfortunately they had already finished flowering.

Nature was beautiful here, I've seen a plant that you rarely see us.

France and the WW2. Except for the landing in Normandy is in France during the war fought more. Throughout the countryside you'll still remains disappointing. This bunker was near the campsite. At the entrance to another old mine, maybee a strategic point.

I climbed the hills and saw many remnants from the past. Here an air shaft of the mine.

I follow my path and come from a large piece of stone. This is a block that comes from the old quarry.

We will have a snack, walk a lot with the dogs and go to bed early. We're pretty tired.

Day 2,

We walk a bit through the neighborhood and decide the route to Paris already agreed to drive. This gave us an estimate of the time. We came through Chantilly, here we looked our eyes out. France is famous for its castles and estates, indeed, what we saw was dazzling. All sides were so-called sight lines through the forest up to two kilometers. Here once lived a very influential person.

This complex belongs to the racetrack. The cobblestones lay higgledy-piggledy over reason.

In each village was a reminder memorial of WW1 and WW2

Mango was ready. He sat comfortably in his skin and radiated from all sides.

We ride into Paris and are surprised that there are no signs hanging from the World Dog Show, very strange. They had a fantastic logo, but they did not advertise. Now we knew what we had to drive and how long we needed we could create a schedule for the next day. In the tent we find the final preparations, Dog grooming, packing bags and prepare for the next day.

Day 3

Our first show day, not the World dog show, but the French championships. We drive fast towards Paris and park at the show halls. Cars from many different countries are there . And we fall directly on the amount of dog shit. Everywhere it was, nothing was removed. You had to be very careful where you put your foot down because before you knew you had a brown boy on your shoe. Before the halls inmogen the dogs checked for chip and passport number. Everything is okay and we're looking for our ring. Fortunately, the ring for Michael and Mango are close together. We put our stuff and waiting begins.

We soon found out that we have to make no illusions the performances in France is even more corrupt than in Holland. For Mango came time to show even closer. Here he is having fun with Alinda,

At the end of the day is the honorary race inspection for Group 6. Mango and Alinda enter the main ring but they were not placed. 1.2, 3 were French breeds.

With mixed feelings we went back to the campsite, Happy with the results of Mango but dissatisfied with the conduct of the examination of the beagles.

Day 3,

D - Day. Today was the day. The World Dogshow 2011 for Mango and Michael. Would it succeed, Would Mango for the third consecutive World Winner be. We were confident but you never do know for sure.

(Pack) hunting is important in France. There were also many different packs available. A fantastic sight.

The beagles in the ring. Amaze the day would be even greater than the day before. Michael received an Excellent but again he was not selected. Even Ayers Rock From Elly's Pack, currently perhaps the best beagle dog in the show world was not placed. If you saw where the judge chose it. Shame, it was a big joke.

Then was it time for Mango..

Mango's character has many hearts melt, and once again the judge was impressed by the happiness of the dog.
Along the Ringstrasse we already had a lot of attention for Mango, even people from Sweden, the homeland of the race, praised Mango.

And yes it was successful. Mango was again 1 Excellent, Best of Breed and a point for the French championship. But more important was. WORLD WINNER 2011. After Bratislava 2009, Herning 2010, now Parijs2011.

At the end of the day again back to the main ring

Earlier in the day we had seen the judge of the group seen drinking champagne fun with other exhibitors from breed group 6, then you already know enough.

1,2,3, were again the French breeds.

This was the end of the World winner show for us. Happy with Mango
his title. But it was a very bad organisatit show, No cup, no Banner, not even a diploma. No, in that respect it was a very bad show. Dirty , poorly organized, corrupt. Refusing to speak English.

At the campsite the men both get a big piece of bread, that they deserve it.

Day 4.

Monday, we pack our stuff and drive back home. There was come an end of four days France, four days of fun but a lot of embarrassing moments. After 6 hours we drive home safely. We pick up the dogs and are complete again. ...... a time Show in France never again!

Last week we are on a graet beagleday with our boys. Many things to do for dogs. Also brainwork for dogs. In a tent with a lot of balls must the dog looking for somthing. Mango love it. Last weekend we had a beagle walking weekend from the Dutch beagle club. We visit this weekend with all the dogs. We made long walks through the woods and had a lot of fun with the dogs. There are 52 beagles and mr Mango. A lot of Dutch beagle owners know who Mango was . They had seen a lot of photo's of him. Now they had the chance to see the lord him self.

Today it is already three years ago that a little Swedisch boy landed on Schiphol Airport. Mango, a little Hamilton boy, was in a different country and started a new part of his young life. He was supposed to life with us for eight months and then we should bring him over to Pam in the UK. After eight months Pam makes a hard decission for herself. She asked us if it was possible that Mango could stay with his. His love for us and our love for him was for her the reason to ask that. So Mango stayed and we became co- owner of this fantastic boy. And now three years later,(Buvakkullens)Mango with Meillion is one of the greatest Hamiltons ever in the showring, Best puppy on the Crufts 4 country championships, 2 times World Winner, Bundes Sieger, Europa Sieger, Winner 2008,09. Winner of FCI group 6, Many times short listed in group 6, 2 times Best in Show, Best of Breed on the LKA. And 21 x Best of Breed on other international dogshows, etc, etc, And also proud daddy of a new and very promissing generation of hamiltons.Pam and Paul thanks for your trust in us. Hans, Monica and Milla thank you for this fantastic boy. We hope the future brings us also a lot of happiness with this fantastic boy.

We are renovating the garden again. The terrace at the back I made bigger. And tomorrow, the new sod. The dogs have helped me well. They will think, the sooner the boss is ready sooner we back in the garden.

We are now back home after a fantstic weekend. On saturday we travel to Limburg. We stay the night in the house of friends from us in Heerlen. On Sunday we drive to Luxembourg for the international dogshow. Mango did it great. He was best of breed en win the national championship title from Luxembourg. Now he is official Luxembourg Champion . At the end of the day he was also short listed in group 6. He was selected by the last 6 dogs. We are very proud of Mango. This title is his 4th national country championship. A fantastic result. WW09,WW10, Dutch, Denmark, Slowenska and Luxembourg Champion (Buvakullens) Mango With Meillion.At the end of a long show day we drive back to Heerlen. The dogs are all very tired. On monday they play a lot in the garden and at the end ogf the day we drive back to Westerbork. A fantastic weekend came to an end.

Last weekend was the international dogshow in Leiden. We had no dogs entered. Rebecca and Louise Kerkmeester had ask us to come to the show so that they could handle our dogs in the juniorhandling competition. It was the last time for Rebecca in the junior handling and it was special for her to handle Mango that last time. Last year she had a lot of succes with Mango in the ring. This time she became together with Mango on the 4th place. Her sister Louise became 2th with Michael. Here some photo's from Rebecca and Mango.

Alinda has left for England last Friday. She visited there Crufts. Yesterday was the day that the Hamiltons are in the showring.
I have a few lovely days alone with the dogs, just some extra attention from the boss, they enjoy it. This morning I brought them separately into the field. First the beagles and finally Mango. Mango energy had built up while waiting his turn. We were just outside the village when I put him on the long line. He starts running and breaks his collar loose. The Lord was free. He runs like crazy through the fields. Another walker can stop him. I take him home and put him back on his rig. We continue our walk. Mango axis very impressed by what had happened. He was neatly beside me. It was enjoyed for master and dog

This morning I was early in the fields with Mango. It had frozen last night. So it was cold. Mango and I love the cold weather. There were a lot of hare tracks. Mango his nose worked excellent. It was enjoyment for dog and owner together so early in the field.

Yesterday it was time for a show. Since last November Mango had not been in the show ring. Lot of practice and rest. These were the medecijnen for a good recovery from his injury. And so yesterday was The return of the Lord. Strained we sat along the ring. Was his injury really gone. Mango was fantastic handled through Louise Kerkmeester. And yes Mango was going like never before. He went with great force through the ring. A relief went through us. Yes Mango was back. He became 1 excellent and became Best Of Breed. He also received the title of Groningen Winner 2011. At the end of the day we had Mango again in the ring for FCI group 6. Unfortunately he was not placed by the last three.

Yesterday was published the results of the showhandling competition. This is a competition for students of Kynospirit, Here we go for the showtraining of our dogs. The final result will decide on the basis of all results from the year 2010. This year there were 142 dogs participated in this compititie. In 2009 Mango was reserve best dog and this year he did even better. Mango won the compititie and became BEST SHOWDOG 2010

First we wish all followers of this blog a happy new year. Hopefully in the coming years, we have a lot of fun with the guys. Through this blog you can again enjoy the adventures of Mr. Mango

For many animal lovers, New Year's Eve is a nightmare. Dogs that are totally panicked. Fortunately, we do not bother with our pack. Kevin and Jayson have always been very relaxed with fireworks. And the young men have taken over that behavior. All night they were quite relaxed. At noon we opened the curtains and the dogs looked in the window at the fireworks.

More fun in the snow

There is now a lot of snow in Holland. A lot of people do not like it. But I and the dogs Love it. Mango played a lot in the snow with the beagles and we made long walks through the fields.
